Originally from a professional photographic background, I've been a steel boat-builder and repairer, sailing instructor, and marina dockmaster.

Having done three Dournenez trips, and photography from the deck of various smacks and classic boats, I finally bought a RIB in 2011 to give me the versatility to take the photography a bit more seriously. Unfortunately I had to step away for several years to support an elderly parent, but I'm now back. I managed to get four trips to the Netherlands last year but not with the RIB, so somewhat limiting.

I covered the East Coast Race and Mersea Week last year and I'm hoping to do a lot more this year, including Ostend at Anchor.
